Shiv Sena leader Raju Waghmare on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on comedian Kunal Kamra over his recent remarks, demanding an apology or legal consequences. Waghmare accused Kamra of insulting the Thackeray family and questioned Aaditya Thackeray’s defense of the comedian.

“Aaditya Thackeray is asking why Kunal Kamra should apologize. He should first listen to what Kamra has said. Tomorrow, if someone comments on Aaditya Thackeray’s appearance or talks about how they sold their grandfather’s legacy and how Uddhav Thackeray betrayed his father for the CM’s chair, how would they feel?” Waghmare said while speaking to ANI.

He further accused Aaditya and Uddhav Thackeray of betraying Shiv Sena’s ideology for power. “The real ‘Gaddars’ (traitors) are Aaditya and Uddhav Thackeray. They abandoned the BJP and their alliance to grab the CM post and ministerial positions with Congress. Both father and son are traitors who sold out Shiv Sena and Balasaheb Thackeray’s ideology,” he added.

Issuing a direct warning to Kamra, Waghmare stated, “If Kunal Kamra does not apologize, he will face problems moving around in Mumbai and Maharashtra. We will ensure he has no shows in Mumbai, and we will make sure he does not enter our state.”

Meanwhile, BJP MP Dinesh Sharma also criticized Kamra’s controversial remarks during a recent show, accusing him of using insults and controversies to gain publicity. “He didn’t take names, but he abused everyone. The public is not foolish. Those who make allegations just for cheap publicity should face consequences,” Sharma told ANI.

The controversy surrounding Kamra has escalated, with political leaders demanding action against him while the comedian continues to stand by his statements.
